**Bengaluru, December 25, 2024** – A three-member gang responsible for a theft at the historic Kote Venkataramanaswamy temple in K.R. Market was apprehended by K.R. Puram police on Monday. The thieves, apprehended in Gorantla, Andhra Pradesh, were apprehended following an investigation that included analyzing CCTV footage.
The gang broke into the temple on November 29th and stole cash from the donation box. Police recovered ₹1.6 lakh in cash and four stolen two-wheelers, valued at ₹4.6 lakh, from the suspects. The stolen vehicles were discovered hidden near the Hoskote-Chintamani highway. While one of the bikes has been identified as stolen from Kaggalipura, police are working to trace the owners of the other three. The accused confessed to the crime, leading to the recovery of the stolen property.
