**Puducherry, December 24, 2024** – The first meeting of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Government of Puducherry Consultative Forum took place at the Legislative Assembly today. The CII presented concerns faced by local entrepreneurs to Chief Minister N. Rangasamy and his panel, offering suggestions to improve the Union Territory’s business climate.
Key recommendations included upgrading infrastructure in existing industrial estates and developing a plan for the effective utilization of over 750 acres of land in the Sedarapet-Karasur area for industrial purposes. The meeting was attended by key government officials, including the Secretaries to the Industries and Electricity departments, and CII Puducherry representatives. This collaboration aims to stimulate economic growth and create a more favorable environment for businesses in Puducherry.
