**Bengaluru, India** – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa in connection with a Provident Fund (PF) fraud case. The Bengaluru Provident Fund authorities allege that Uthappa’s company, Centaurus Lifestyle Brand Private Limited, failed to deposit employee PF contributions totaling ₹23.36 lakh.

The warrant, issued by Provident Fund Commissioner Sadakshari Gopal Reddy on December 4th, gives Uthappa until December 27th to settle the outstanding dues. Failure to do so will result in his arrest. Authorities, having visited Uthappa’s Bengaluru residence, learned he is currently in Dubai.

Employees of Centaurus Lifestyle Brand have filed complaints alleging the company violated PF regulations, resulting in losses to their retirement accounts. Despite repeated notices, Uthappa has not responded, prompting the police alert.

Uthappa, a prominent member of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team, played 43 ODIs, scoring 934 runs including six half-centuries, and 13 T20 Internationals, scoring 249 runs including one half-century. He also played for several IPL teams, including Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. This development has shocked cricket fans and raises serious questions about his business practices. The situation remains tense, with the potential for further legal action if the outstanding amount is not paid.
