Mysterio Sr., the grand uncle of WWE superstar Dominik Mysterio, was a prominent figure in Mexican wrestling, making his debut in 1976 and performing for major promotions including the World Wrestling Association (WWA), Pro Wrestling Revolution, and Tijuana Wrestling. He was often called Rey Mysterio Sr. to distinguish him from his famous nephew, Rey Mysterio Jr.
