**Madurai, December 20, 2024** – The Madurai Principal Special Court adjourned the bail hearing for YouTuber ‘Savukku’ Shankar until December 24. Shankar, arrested in Chennai on December 17 after a non-bailable warrant was issued for his failure to appear in court regarding a ganja (cannabis) case, was produced before the court on December 18. The case stems from a May incident where police arrested a supplier, Mahendran, allegedly connected to Shankar, seizing 2.6 kg of ganja. Two other accomplices were also arrested earlier, with 500 grams of ganja confiscated. Judge M. Chenkamalaselvan will pronounce the order on Shankar’s bail application on December 24.
