Fri Dec 20 18:58:08 UTC 2024: ## Kia Unveils Feature-Packed Syros Sub-4m SUV, Targeting January 2025 Launch

**NEW DELHI, Dec 20, 2024** – Kia has revealed the specifications of its upcoming sub-4m SUV, the Syros, set to launch in January 2025 with an expected starting price of Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Positioning itself between the Sonet and Seltos, the Syros boasts a range of features exceeding those found in its stablemates.

The Syros offers three main variants: HTK, HTK Plus, and HTX, with further optional additions creating HTK (O) and HTX Plus (O) trims. Each offers a progressive increase in features.

The entry-level HTK boasts a surprisingly robust feature set including halogen headlights, manual AC, and a 4.2-inch MID, alongside safety features like six airbags, TPMS, and a rearview camera. Higher trims progressively add features such as alloy wheels (16-inch on HTK(O) and HTK Plus, 17-inch on HTX Plus), panoramic sunroof (HTK Plus and above), various interior upholstery options and color schemes, LED lighting, ventilated seats (HTX Plus and above), a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display (HTX Plus and above), a Harman Kardon sound system (HTX Plus and above), and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) including a 360-degree camera (HTX Plus (O)). Engine options include a 1-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel, with automatic transmission options available.

While lacking direct rivals, the Kia Syros aims to compete with a wide range of subcompact and compact SUVs currently in the market, including the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta, and Maruti Grand Vitara. The detailed variant-wise feature breakdown highlights Kia’s strategy to offer a compelling value proposition in the competitive sub-4m SUV segment.
