**New Delhi, India** – A 26-year-old man, Himanshu, was fatally stabbed in his Narela apartment on Friday evening in what police believe was a revenge killing stemming from a financial dispute. Three suspects have been arrested, while a fourth remains at large.
The incident unfolded around 6 pm when four individuals stormed Himanshu’s residence and attacked him with knives, according to police. The victim shared the apartment with his friend, Sumit Kaushik. Preliminary investigations reveal that one of the accused, Ravi (30), had borrowed Rs 45,000 from Sumit and failed to repay the debt. Himanshu subsequently confronted Ravi’s family, prompting the retaliatory attack.
Police responded to a PCR call at 6:28 pm. Three suspects – Ravi, Sahil (24), and Ashish (26) – have been apprehended and charged with murder. The fourth assailant, Akshay Khatri, is currently being sought by authorities.
The Delhi Police are investigating the murder, stating that the motive appears to be directly linked to the outstanding loan. A senior police official confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
The incident has sparked outrage, with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal criticizing the central government on X (formerly Twitter) for the escalating crime rates in the national capital. He lamented the rising violence and called for action from the BJP-led central government.
