Sat Dec 21 01:41:10 UTC 2024: ## Delhi Police Transfers Parliament Clash Cases to Crime Branch Amidst Political Fallout

**New Delhi:** The Delhi Police have transferred two FIRs related to the chaotic scenes outside Parliament on Thursday to the Crime Branch. One FIR, already filed, charges Congress leader Rahul Gandhi with assault following a complaint by BJP MPs. However, a complaint filed by Congress women MPs alleging assault remains unaddressed.

The incident, which left two BJP MPs injured, sparked a political firestorm. Rahul Gandhi continues to demand the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing the BJP of attacking the Constitution and insulting B.R. Ambedkar. He posted on social media, stating that the BJP, Prime Minister Modi, and Amit Shah made a “grave mistake” and should apologize.

BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput sustained injuries during the scuffle. Sarangi alleges that he was injured after a Congress MP, pushed by Rahul Gandhi, fell on him. Multiple BJP MPs are demanding an apology from Gandhi. Congress leaders have condemned the FIR against Gandhi, calling it a diversionary tactic.

The winter session of Parliament concluded today amidst the continuing uproar. The conflicting accounts and the police’s handling of the complaints have further fueled the political tensions.
