NEW DELHI – The results for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 were released late on December 19th, 2024. The exam, held on November 24th, saw 2.93 lakh candidates out of 3.29 lakh registrants take the MBA entrance exam. The results are available on the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
This year’s results saw an impressive performance, with 14 candidates achieving a perfect 100 percentile score. Thirteen of these top scorers are engineers. A further 29 candidates achieved a 99.99 percentile, with 25 having engineering backgrounds and 4 from non-engineering disciplines. This group consisted of 27 men and 2 women. An additional 30 candidates scored 99.98 percentile.
One notable success story is Dhruv Mittal, a chartered accountancy (CA) student currently completing his articleship. Mittal, a non-engineering candidate, achieved a remarkable 99.69 percentile on his first attempt at the CAT exam, balancing his demanding CA studies with his MBA entrance exam preparation. His scaled scores were: Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (95.23 percentile), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (99.51 percentile), and Quantitative Ability (99.67 percentile).
