Hyderabad, Telangana – Bajaj Auto has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) lineup with the launch of two new Chetak scooters: the Chetak 3501 and 3501. The 3501, a premium model, is priced at ₹1.27 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 3502 is priced at ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). A third model, the Chetak 3503, is expected to launch soon.
Maintaining the classic Chetak design, the new scooters boast a 3.5 kW battery and a 4 kW motor, enabling a top speed of 73 km/h and a claimed range of 153 km on a single charge. A full charge takes approximately three hours.
The scooters feature a 5-inch touchscreen TFT display with functionalities including maps, call management, and music control. Safety features include geofencing, theft alert, accident detection, and overspeed alert.
Bajaj first introduced the Chetak EV in 2020 and has since sold over 300,000 units across various models (3201, 3202, 2903, and a special edition 3201). The company continues to expand its presence in the growing Indian EV market.
