PUNE, INDIA – Bajaj Auto launched three new variants of its Chetak electric scooter on Friday. The three models, part of the Chetak 35 series (3501, 3502, and 3503), offer a range of 153 kilometers on a single charge.
The 3501 model is priced at ₹1.27 lakh, while the 3502 model costs ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Deliveries for the 3501 will begin at the end of this month, with 3502 deliveries starting in January. Both models feature a 3.5 kWh battery and a top speed of 73 kph. A full charge takes 3 hours. Pricing for the 3503 model will be announced later.
All three scooters boast features including a full navigation screen, digital document storage, Bluetooth connectivity for a music player, a speed lock system, and an anti-theft alert system.
Bajaj Auto Executive Director Rakesh Sharma announced plans to begin exporting the Chetak e-scooters within six months, citing strong interest from countries including Spain, Brazil, and Bangladesh.
