**Bengaluru, December 20, 2024** – Bajaj Auto has expanded its popular Chetak electric scooter lineup with the launch of the Chetak 35 series. The new series includes two models: the premium Chetak 3501, priced at ₹1.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), and the Chetak 3502, priced at ₹1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). A third model, the Chetak 3503, is expected to launch soon.
The new scooters retain the classic Chetak design while boasting upgraded features. Powered by a 3.5 kWh battery and a 4 kW motor, they offer a top speed of 73 km/h and a claimed range of 153 km on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in three hours.
Technological features include a 5-inch touch TFT display with navigation, call management, and music controls. Safety features such as geo-fencing, theft alert, accident detection, and overspeed alert are also included.
Bajaj Auto has been producing Chetak electric scooters since 2020 and has sold over 300,000 units to date. The company plans to further expand its electric vehicle presence in the market. The launch of the Chetak 35 series comes amidst a growing demand for electric vehicles in India, driven by rising fuel prices.
