JAIPUR, Rajasthan—A massive fire, triggered by a truck collision near a petrol pump on Ajmer Road, has claimed the lives of at least 12 people and injured over 40 others, officials said. The incident, which occurred around 5:30 am this morning, involved a CNG tanker that ignited after a truck, reportedly carrying chemicals, collided with other vehicles.
The resulting explosion was so powerful that it engulfed vehicles within a 300-meter radius, sending a massive plume of black smoke visible for kilometers. Locals reported hearing explosions up to 10 kilometers away as fuel tanks burst. At least 28 victims are in critical condition. Authorities fear the death toll may rise.
