JOHANNESBURG – Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced full refunds for spectators who attended the rained-out third T20 International between South Africa and Pakistan on December 14th, 2024, at the Wanderers Stadium. The match was abandoned without a ball bowled due to persistent rain.
The South Africa team had already secured a 2-0 series victory before the weather intervened. While the abandoned match was highly anticipated, CSA stated that refunds will be processed starting December 17th. All tickets for the match had been sold.
The incident comes as the two teams continue their series, with Pakistan currently leading the One Day International (ODI) series 2-0. The next ODI, a pink-ball match, will be played at the same venue on December 22nd. Ticket prices for the ODI range from approximately 500 Rupees for children under 18 to 1660 Rupees for adults.
