**Chennai, December 20, 2024** – A 35-year-old man, S. Sathish, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly attacking a former colleague with a knife at a private bank in T. Nagar, Chennai. The victim, G. Dinesh, 33, a senior manager at the bank, sustained injuries to his ear and back and was rushed to a hospital.
Police investigations revealed that the attack stemmed from a two-year-old grievance. Sathish, who had previously worked with Dinesh at a Nandanam bank, was dismissed due to a health issue. However, he believed Dinesh was responsible for his termination, fueling a long-standing animosity.
Sathish traveled from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, specifically to attack Dinesh, according to police. He was apprehended by bank employees immediately following the attack and handed over to authorities. The police are currently investigating the incident.
