**Chennai, India – December 20, 2024** – Kia Motors has launched its latest compact SUV, the Syros, aiming to disrupt the competitive market. Positioned between the Sonet and Seltos models, the Syros boasts a unique, polarizing cube-shaped design and a range of advanced features.

While pricing remains undisclosed, Kia highlights the Syros’s 3,995mm length, tall-boy stance, and expansive glasshouse, creating a surprisingly spacious feel. The front features a distinctive digital tiger-nose grille, star map LED DRLs, and cube projector headlights. The top variant includes 17-inch alloy wheels, while lower trims offer 15-inch steel wheels. The rear continues the futuristic theme with star map lights integrated into the rear pillars.

Inside, a panoramic display integrates the digital driver display, vehicle controls, and infotainment system. Premium materials, rear AC vents, multiple USB-C ports, wireless charging, and a Harman Kardon audio system enhance the luxurious feel. A standout feature is the versatile rear seat with reclining and sliding functionality, allowing passengers to adjust legroom and boot space. Rear seat ventilation adds to the comfort.

Engine options include a 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine (120PS, 172Nm) with manual or 6-speed DCT transmission and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine (116PS, 250Nm) with manual and automatic options. Safety is prioritized with Level 2 ADAS featuring 16 features, including forward collision avoidance and lane keep assist.

Bookings for the Kia Syros open in January 2025, with sales commencing in February 2025. While its unconventional design may not appeal to all, the Syros aims to stand out with its blend of style, comfort, and advanced technology within the compact SUV segment.
