**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – December 20, 2024** – Forty-four students and young professionals from Uttar Pradesh (UP) have arrived in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, as part of the fifth phase of the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” youth exchange program. The initiative, spearheaded by the Union Ministry of Education, aims to promote national unity and cultural understanding among young people across India.
The selected participants, chosen from over 3,073 applicants by IIIT-Allahabad, will spend five days exploring Andhra Pradesh. The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Vijayawada, and IIIT-Allahabad are the coordinating institutions for this phase of the program.
The program’s inaugural session, held at SPA on Friday, was attended by dignitaries including the Deputy Director of AICTE, Prashant Kharat, and the Director of SPA, Ramesh Srikonda. Participants will focus on five key areas: tourism, tradition, development, people-to-people connections, and technology.
Their itinerary includes visits to beaches, Amaravati development projects, and interactions with local artisans known for Kondapalli toys, Pedana Kalamkari, and Mangalagiri sarees. The program seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure and technological advancements.
