**Mumbai, India** – Kia has officially launched the Syros, its highly anticipated sub-4-meter SUV, in India. Positioned between the Sonet and Seltos, the Syros boasts a boxy, rugged design reminiscent of larger Kia models like the EV9 and Telluride, and is marketed as a premium lifestyle vehicle.

The Syros is packed with segment-first features, including slidable and reclining second-row seats with ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS with over 16 autonomous features. Safety is prioritized with 6 airbags, ESP, traction control, and other standard safety features. Technological highlights include a choice of 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment and digital driver displays, a wireless charging pad, and Kia Connect 2.0 with OTA updates. The vehicle also offers a surprisingly large 465-liter boot, exceeding even some larger SUVs.

Powertrain options are expected to include a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine with manual gearbox, potentially supplemented by a 1.5-liter turbo diesel and automatic transmission options.

Bookings for the Syros will open on January 3rd, 2025, with deliveries commencing in February. Pricing will be revealed at the Bharat Mobility Show on January 17th, 2025, and is expected to fall between ₹8.5 lakh and ₹15 lakh. The Syros will compete with models such as the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300. Kia is promoting the Syros as offering a superior rear-seat experience within its class. The Syros will be available in eight exterior colors and six trim levels. The vehicle’s dimensions are 3,995mm (L) x 1,800mm (W) x 1,665mm (H), with a 2,550mm wheelbase.
