**COIMBATORE, December 19, 2024** – The Rotary Club of Coimbatore West, in partnership with Royal Care Super Speciality Hospitals, today launched “Singappanne,” a ₹44 lakh project aimed at preventing cervical cancer. The initiative will provide free HPV vaccinations to women in Coimbatore and surrounding areas.

The project was inaugurated by AKS. Sundaravadivelu, District Governor of Rotary India District 3201, who stressed the importance of preventative healthcare. Dr. A. Nirmala, Dean of Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, and Dr. K. Madeswaran, Chairman of Royal Care Hospitals, also spoke at the launch, highlighting the crucial role of vaccination in reducing cervical cancer incidence.

In addition to vaccinations, “Singappanne” will include awareness programs and vaccination camps to ensure accessibility for women in the region. Each vaccine, costing approximately ₹3000, will be administered free of charge to beneficiaries. Rotary Club leaders S. Rajendran and Rtn. MPHF. P. Mohan Chandar reiterated the organization’s dedication to community health.
