**Kozhikode, Kerala – December 20, 2024** – The Beypore International Water Festival is set to return for its fourth edition, promising a spectacular showcase of water sports and cultural events, according to Public Works and Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas. The three-day festival, opening on December 27th, aims to further establish Kerala as a hub for water adventure sports and boost tourism in the Malabar region.

Minister Riyas stated that the festival has consistently attracted large crowds and this year’s event will be even bigger, featuring a diverse range of activities including surfing, sailing, canoeing, an international kite festival, paramotoring, flyboarding, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding races, dinghy boat races, a treasure hunt, a country boat race, fishing demonstrations, a Navy band performance, and a display of the Navy’s search and rescue operations.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the festival, with actor-filmmaker Basil Joseph serving as the chief guest. A live music performance by Vineeth Sreenivasan will follow the opening ceremony. A separate food festival, running from December 25th to 31st, will be inaugurated by Assembly Speaker A.N. Shamseer. Cultural events will be held at various locations including Beypore Beach, Chaliyam Beach, and Nallur Mini Stadium, culminating in a drone light show on December 28th and 29th. A business-to-business meeting for tourism professionals will also be held on December 27th. The festival will conclude on December 29th with a valedictory event attended by Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian.
