Mon Dec 16 23:06:00 UTC 2024: ## President Murmu to Grace AIIMS Mangalagiri Convocation
**Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh –** President Droupadi Murmu will be the chief guest at the inaugural convocation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Mangalagiri on December 17th. The ceremony, taking place at the institute’s auditorium from 12 noon to 1:30 pm, will see 49 MBBS students and four post-doctoral certificate course students receive their degrees. President Murmu will present gold medals to the awardees and deliver the convocation address.
The event will also be attended by Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and several Union and state ministers.
Following the convocation, President Murmu will travel to Telangana, staying at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad. Her Telangana visit includes the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremonies for various initiatives at Rashtrapati Nilayam on December 18th, and the presentation of the President’s Colours to the College of Defence Management in Secunderabad on December 20th. She will also host a reception at Rashtrapati Nilayam on the evening of December 20th.
