**Leicester, England** – A 12-year-old girl has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of 80-year-old Bhim Sen Kohli, who died following an assault in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town, near Leicester in September. The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Leicester Youth Court on Monday.
This is the second arrest in the case. A 15-year-old boy, who was 14 at the time of the incident, remains in custody charged with murder. Five children aged between 12 and 14 were initially arrested following the attack.
Mr. Kohli, described by his family as a “loving husband, dad and grandad,” died in hospital on September 2nd from a neck injury sustained during the assault. A post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death. Leicestershire Police previously stated that the circumstances surrounding Mr. Kohli’s death were “extremely tragic and upsetting.”
