**Mumbai, India:** India’s star all-rounder Harmanpreet Kaur has been ruled out of the second T20I against the West Indies due to an injury sustained during the first match of the three-match series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the news on social media.
Kaur, who usually captains the side, was noticeably absent during the toss of the second match at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The BCCI subsequently confirmed that she was unavailable for selection due to an injury. In the first match, which India won by 49 runs, Kaur scored an unbeaten 11 runs off 11 balls.
In her absence, debutant Raghavi Bista has been included in the playing XI. Bista, who impressed during India A’s tour of Australia, will be making her international debut. Smriti Mandhana is leading the team in Kaur’s stead. The series continues with the second T20I underway.
