**San Francisco, USA –** Renowned tabla maestro Zakir Hussain, considered one of the greatest tabla players of his generation, passed away at the age of 73 in a San Francisco hospital on Monday. His family announced that he succumbed to complications from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis after a two-week hospital stay that included time in the intensive care unit.
