Mon Dec 16 03:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Pant Joins Elite Club with 150th Test Dismissal

**Brisbane, Australia –** Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant reached a significant milestone on Day 2 of the third Test against Australia in Brisbane. His catch of Usman Khawaja, off Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling, marked his 150th Test dismissal, placing him alongside MS Dhoni and Syed Kirmani as only the third Indian wicketkeeper to achieve this feat.

Pant, with 135 catches and 15 stumpings in 41 Tests, currently sits third on the list of most dismissals by an Indian wicketkeeper, behind Dhoni (294) and Kirmani (198). He is expected to surpass Kirmani’s total in the near future.

India dominated the morning session, reducing Australia to 104/3 at lunch. Bumrah claimed two wickets – Khawaja (caught by Pant) and McSweeney (caught by Kohli) – while Reddy dismissed Labuschagne. Despite the strong Indian bowling performance, Australia managed to score 76 runs in the morning session. Play began half an hour early to make up for rain-affected Day 1.
