**Sydney, NSW –** The Melbourne Renegades have announced their 14-player squad for their Big Bash League (BBL|14) season opener against the Sydney Sixers on Monday night at the SCG. Captain Will Sutherland will lead a revamped team featuring a mix of established players and exciting new recruits.
Making their Renegades debuts will be overseas draftees Tim Seifert, Laurie Evans, and Hassan Khan. New signings Josh Brown and Gurinder Sandhu have already impressed the coaching staff, while local Geelong product Callum Stow, a late addition to the squad, is also in contention for a starting spot.
Unfortunately, Jacob Bethell will miss the season opener due to international commitments with England. He is expected to join the team for their home game in Geelong.
The final eleven players will be confirmed at the toss.
