**Mumbai, India** – Bollywood royalty and industry veterans gathered in Mumbai on Friday to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of legendary actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor. The celebration included the premiere of five restored classics – *Awara*, *Shree 420*, *Sangam*, *Mera Naam Joker*, and *Bobby* – at a special event launching a three-day RK Film Festival.

The red carpet was graced by Raj Kapoor’s children and grandchildren, including Randhir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt, alongside numerous other prominent Bollywood figures. Rekha, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prem Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, and many more joined the family in celebrating the impact of Kapoor’s iconic filmography on Indian cinema.

The RK Film Festival, a collaboration between PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation, will showcase ten of Raj Kapoor’s films across 40 cities. The festival’s celebratory atmosphere was enhanced by a live band performing some of Kapoor’s most memorable songs. The event served as a poignant tribute to a cinematic legend whose work continues to resonate with audiences across generations.
