While acknowledging the film’s commercial aspects, he emphasized its aim to address women’s safety concerns in a gripping narrative.
Dhawan explained that he initially hesitated to take on a remake, but Atlee’s vision to revisit the themes in light of recent events convinced him. The actor also shared his journey from portraying soft, romantic roles to taking on intense action sequences in “Baby John,” crediting Atlee for recognizing his potential to portray a character with underlying vulnerabilities and powerful emotions when his family is threatened.
