**Kollam, Kerala –** Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC)’s Kollam Budget Tourism Cell has announced a diverse range of tour packages for the Christmas and New Year holidays. The packages include both familiar and new destinations, offering something for every traveler.

New routes include Kumbam-Madurai-Thanjavur, Palakkad-Nellayampathy, Velankanni, and Malamelpaara. Several trips to Munnar are scheduled (December 14th and 28th), along with a boat trip on the 21st and 23rd, and a New Year’s Eve trip to Wagamon on December 31st.

A “Metro Vibes” tour on December 14th and 27th offers a tour of Fort Kochi and Mattancherry, including Water Metro and Rail Metro travel, for just ₹870. For religious travelers, a pilgrimage to Ayyappan temples at Kulathoorpuzha, Aryankavu, and Achankovil, culminating in a darshan of the Thiruvabharana at Pandalam, is scheduled for December 14th and 28th. Trips to Ponmudi are also available on December 15th, 22nd, and 25th (₹770 per person, inclusive of all entrance fees).

A more ambitious tour on December 20th will take travelers through Kumbam’s vineyards, the Madurai Meenakshi Temple, and finally to the Thanjavur Brihadeeswarar Temple (₹2,350 per person). A five-hour boat trip on the Arabian Sea from Kochi, departing from Kollam on December 21st and 23rd, is also on offer (₹4,240).

Other tours include trips to Illikkalkall-Elaveezhapoonchira (December 21st and 29th), Ramakkalmedu via Ayyappan Kovil hanging bridge (December 22nd), and Kanyakumari and Rosmal (December 24th). A trip to Kanyakumari, including visits to Triparappu waterfalls and Padmanabhapuram Palace, is priced at ₹800. A Christmas Day trip to Anjurulie-Calvary Mount-Idukki is also planned, departing from Kollam at 5 AM (₹1,020). A two-day trip to Palakkad, including Nellayampathy, is priced at ₹2,750. Finally, a trip to Velankanni for the first Malayalam mass of the New Year on December 31st (₹2,760) and a Wagamon New Year’s Eve celebration (departing at 9 AM) complete the festive offerings.
