**Kollam, [Date]:** The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Kollam Budget Tourism Cell has announced a range of tour packages to celebrate the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. A newly released calendar features several new destinations, catering to varied interests.
New additions include trips to Kambam-Madurai-Thanjavur, Palakkad-Nellayampathy, Velankanni, and Malaimel Paara. Pre-planned trips are also available to Munnar (December 14th & 28th), a boat trip (December 21st & 23rd), and Vagamon for New Year’s Eve (December 31st).
A special Metro Vibes tour on December 14th and 27th includes Fort Kochi, Mattancherry, and a journey on the Water Metro and Rail Metro, priced at ₹870. A pilgrimage to Ayyappan temples in Kulathupuzha, Aryankavu, and Achankovil, followed by a visit to Pandalam for the Thiruvabharana darshan, is scheduled for December 14th and 28th. Ponmudi tours are planned for December 15th, 22nd, and 25th (₹770, including entry fees).
A trip to Kambam’s vineyards, Madurai’s Meenakshi Temple, and Thanjavur’s Brihadeeswarar Temple departs on December 20th at 10 PM (₹2350 per person). Bookings are open for a chartered “Nefertiti” boat trip on December 21st and 23rd, offering a 5-hour Arabian Sea cruise from Ernakulam, starting at Kollam at 10 AM (₹4240).
Other trips include: Illikkalkal-Elaveezha Poonchira (December 21st & 29th, ₹820); Ayappan Kovil-Ramakkalmedu via a hanging bridge (December 22nd, ₹1070); Kanyakumari and Rosmaly (December 24th, ₹800); and Anjuruli-Calvary Mount, Idukki (December 25th, ₹1020). A two-day trip to Palakkad, including Nellayampathy, departs on December 26th (₹2750). A trip to Palode Botanical Garden, Mankayam Falls, Kurichottu Farm, and Malaimel Paara is scheduled for December 29th.
