Fri Dec 13 04:23:48 UTC 2024: **Multiple Delhi Schools Receive Bomb Threats, Evacuated as Police Investigate**

NEW DELHI, December 13, 2024 – At least three schools in Delhi were placed on high alert and evacuated this morning following bomb threats delivered via email. Bhatnagar International School, Cambridge School, and Delhi Public School (DPS) Amar Colony were among those targeted. Police and fire officials responded to the threats, but as of this report, no explosives have been found.

The threatening emails, received in the early morning hours, claimed multiple explosives were planted on school premises and warned of detonations on December 13th or 14th, coinciding with a scheduled parent-teacher meeting at several of the affected schools. The emails also referenced a “secret dark web group” and made claims about inadequate bag checks at the schools.

“We received calls regarding the threat emails from several schools,” a Delhi Fire Services official stated. Students were dismissed from the affected schools as a precaution, and thorough searches were conducted. Police Sub Inspector SS Yadav confirmed that investigations are underway. While initial searches yielded no suspicious devices, the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are treating the threats seriously and are pursuing all available leads. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
