**Ujjain, MP (Dec 14, 2024):** Ujjain is set to make history in the world of sports. The city will host its first-ever international FIDE-rated rapid chess tournament, the “Mahakaleshwar International Chess Tournament,” from December 21st to 22nd.
Organized by the All India Chess Federation (AICF) and the MP Chess and Hawk Committee, the tournament, directed by Dr. Ravi Goyal and Dr. A.K. Pal, offers a prize purse of ₹125,000 for the winners, along with trophies and medals. The event will be held at Stanford International School.
Players aged 4 to 80 are eligible to participate, and registration closes on December 19th. The tournament welcomes both Indian and international chess players.
