**Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh:** The Bengaluru police have intensified their investigation into the death of Atul Subhash, a software engineer, with a team visiting Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, to gather evidence. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against four individuals—Subhash’s wife, Nikita Singhania; her mother; brother; and uncle—based on a complaint filed by the family. Subhash, in a viral video before his death, accused his wife of harassment, extortion, and corruption, claiming they were responsible for his demise.
The Bengaluru police team, led by Sub-Inspector Ranjit Kumar, arrived in Jaunpur on Thursday, completing paperwork at the local police station. However, Singhania’s family has reportedly fled their home, leaving it locked. The police team is scheduled to visit Singhania’s residence again on Friday morning at 9 am. Reports suggest Singhania may be seeking anticipatory bail from the High Court. While the police team declined to comment to the press, local authorities confirmed the Friday visit. A video has emerged online purportedly showing Singhania at a hotel. The investigation continues.
