HYDERABAD, INDIA – Tollywood actor Allu Arjun has filed a petition in the High Court challenging a case filed against him following a stampede at a “Pushpa 2” benefit show. The incident, which occurred on November 4th at Sandhya Theater in RTC Crossroads, Hyderabad, resulted in the death of a woman and serious injuries to a child.
Police registered a case against Allu Arjun under sections 105 and 118 of the B.N.S. Act, alleging negligence in ensuring security measures at the theater during his visit. The theater management also faces charges for security lapses. Three individuals have already been arrested in connection with the incident.
Allu Arjun’s petition seeks to have the case filed by the Chikkadapalli police dismissed.
