Fri Dec 13 10:30:46 UTC 2024: ## KTR Condemns Allu Arjun’s Arrest Following Sandhya Theater Stampede

**Hyderabad, December 13, 2024** – National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun’s arrest following a stampede at the Sandhya Theater has sparked widespread controversy, with Telangana’s Minister for IT, Industries, and Municipal Administration, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), issuing a strong condemnation.

Allu Arjun was arrested and charged under sections BNS 118 (1) and BNS 105, facing potential jail time ranging from one to ten years. Section 105, a non-bailable offense, carries a sentence of five to ten years if the charges related to indirectly causing a death are proven. Section 118 (1) pertains to intentionally causing injury, with a possible three-year sentence.

KTR, in a tweet, criticized the arrest, calling it a “pinnacle of insecurity of the rulers.” While expressing sympathy for the stampede victims, he questioned the rationale behind treating Allu Arjun as a common criminal for an incident he wasn’t directly responsible for. He further challenged the government’s actions by asking why Revanth Reddy, allegedly responsible for deaths related to the demolition of hydrants, hasn’t faced similar treatment.

Following his arrest, Allu Arjun was shifted from Chikkadapally Police Station to Osmania Hospital for a medical examination before being transferred to Nampally Court. Police are preparing the remand report and recording his statement.
