**Hyderabad, December 13, 2024** – Popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun was arrested earlier today in Hyderabad in connection with a fatal stampede at the Sandhya Theatre on December 4th, 2024. However, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks this evening.
Arjun was arrested by Chikkadpally police and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days before the bail was granted. The bail order, issued by Justice Juvvadi Sridevi, requires Arjun to furnish a personal bond of ₹50,000 and cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation. Two others arrested in the same case also received bail.
The arrest followed a complaint filed by the husband of a woman who died in the stampede. Significantly, hours after Arjun’s detention, the husband, Magudampalli Bhaskar, issued a statement indicating his willingness to withdraw his complaint. With the bail granted, Arjun’s release from prison is expected tonight.
