**Bengaluru, India** – A case has been registered against the wife and in-laws of Atul Subhash, a Bengaluru-based AI engineer who committed suicide on Monday, leaving behind a video and a 24-page suicide note detailing alleged mental harassment. The Marathahalli police station has filed a case under sections 306 (abetment to suicide) and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code against Nikita Singhania (wife), Nisha Singhania (mother-in-law), Anurag Singhania (brother-in-law), and Sushil Singhania (wife’s uncle).

Subhash’s brother, Vikas Kumar, filed the complaint alleging that the accused family members had filed false cases against Atul and demanded a ₹3 crore settlement, leading to his suicide. The complaint also states that Atul faced constant mental and physical harassment.

Following the suicide, Nikita Singhania’s family home in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been abandoned, with her mother and brother leaving late at night. While the mother claimed they left for medical treatment, speculation surrounds their sudden departure.

Atul’s father, Pawan Modi, expressed grief and demanded justice, highlighting his son’s bright future and the family’s devastation. The incident has sparked outrage and calls for justice in the community, with many expressing concern over the alleged harassment of men in domestic disputes.
