**New Delhi, December 9, 2023** – The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that the deadline for applications for the December 2023 UGC-NET exam is fast approaching. Aspiring assistant professors in central and state universities, and those seeking Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs), must apply before **December 10, 2023**.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the UGC-NET exam twice a year (June and December) for 83 subjects. This year’s December exam will be computer-based and held from January 1st to 19th, 2024.
Applicants can still submit their applications through the official NTA website, [ugcnet.nta.ac.in](ugcnet.nta.ac.in) or [https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in/](https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in/). The application fee can be paid until 11:50 PM on December 11th. Applicants can make corrections to their applications on December 12th and 13th.
