Tue Dec 10 09:07:48 UTC 2024: ## Congress Rejects Soros-Gandhi Links, Accuses BJP of Shielding Adani Group

**New Delhi, December 10, 2024** – The Congress party today vehemently denied allegations of links between Sonia Gandhi and George Soros, dismissing them as a BJP ploy to distract from the Adani Group controversy. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress MP, labelled the claims as “ridiculous” and lacking any evidence. She accused the ruling BJP of deliberately disrupting Parliament to avoid addressing the Adani issue, citing the US Department of Justice’s indictment of Adani Green Energy.

Parliament was adjourned early today following heated protests from both sides. Vadra criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s absence from Parliament sessions, questioning his leadership. The Congress, backed by several opposition parties, has pushed for a debate on the Adani indictment, even moving a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, accusing him of bias.

The Adani Group maintains its innocence regarding bribery charges. However, the Congress continues its attacks, highlighting the alleged ties between the Adani Group and the ruling party. Union ministers and BJP MPs countered, demanding clarification from the Congress on the Soros-Gandhi allegations. Despite the opposition’s repeated attempts, the BJP has refused to engage on the Adani matter, leading to continued parliamentary disruptions. The Lok Sabha Speaker expressed disappointment at the MPs’ behavior. The opposition protested outside the Parliament building following the adjournment, reiterating their demand for a government response to the Adani indictment.
