**Tokyo, Japan** – NEC Corporation announced today it will not alter its ¥3,250 per share offer price in its ongoing tender offer for its subsidiary, NEC Networks & Systems Integration Corporation (NEC Net’s Inc.). The announcement comes despite the current market price of NEC Net’s Inc. shares exceeding the offer price.

The tender offer period runs from October 30th to December 11th. NEC Net’s Inc. has already expressed its support for the offer and recommended that shareholders participate.

NEC maintains that the ¥3,250 offer price reflects the full value of NEC Net’s Inc., following thorough negotiations and discussions with the company and its special committee. The company’s statement comes amidst ongoing activity from Oasis Management, a Hong Kong-based investment fund which has increased its stake in NEC Net’s Inc. to 11.68%, as reported on November 14th.
