**New Delhi, December 9, 2024** – The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2024. Candidates who cleared the Mains exam will now proceed to the interview round, the date for which is yet to be announced but is expected to commence in January 2025.
Before the interviews, successful candidates must fill out a Detailed Application Form (DAF II) between December 13th and 19th, 2024. This form, available on the official UPSC website (upsc.gov.in), requires candidates to provide comprehensive personal, academic, and socioeconomic details, along with service and cadre preferences (IAS/IPS). The information provided in the DAF II will be crucial as it forms the basis for the interview panel’s questions. Candidates are advised to fill the form accurately; providing false information may lead to disqualification. Information on cadre allocation can be found at cseplus.nic.in/Home/CadreAllocation.
Only candidates who successfully submit their DAF II will be shortlisted for the interview, which will be held at the UPSC office in Delhi. A list of shortlisted candidates will be published after the form submission deadline.
The DAF II includes sections for personal information, OBC/EWS details, educational qualifications, parental information, socioeconomic background, service preferences, and zone/state cadre preferences for IAS and IPS, and requires uploading relevant documents.
**In other news:** Pune police arrested Muzammil Khan, a Rohingya man, for allegedly creating and selling fake Aadhaar cards for ₹500. Khan, who migrated from Myanmar via Bangladesh, has been apprehended and fake documents seized.
