**New Delhi, India** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) is reminding prospective candidates that the application deadline for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 is fast approaching. The deadline for applications is December 10th, 2023.
The computer-based test (CBT) will be held between January 1st and January 19th, 2024. Applications opened on November 19th. Applicants must register for a new account, even if they have applied previously.
Interested candidates can apply through the official UGC NET website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The application process involves filling out the application form and paying the application fee. Applicants can correct any errors in their applications from December 12th to 13th. Exam center cities will be announced following this correction period, and admit cards will be released soon after.
**Eligibility Criteria:**
* General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates require a minimum of 55% marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized university.
* OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, and transgender candidates need a minimum of 50% marks.
**Application Fees:**
* General/Unreserved: ₹1150
* General-EWS/OBC-NCL: ₹600
* SC/ST/PWD/Transgender: ₹325
