Mon Dec 09 11:49:18 UTC 2024: ## AAP Announces Second List of Candidates for Delhi Assembly Elections

**New Delhi:** The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its second list of 20 candidates on Monday for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for 2025. The announcement intensifies the ongoing election campaign in the capital, with parties actively finalizing their candidate selections.

This list includes notable shifts in candidacy. Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, a three-time MLA from Patparganj, will contest from the Jangpura constituency. His former seat will now be contested by Avadh Ojha, a recent addition to the AAP.

Another significant change involves Jitender Singh Shunty, who recently joined AAP from the BJP. He will be contesting from Timarpur, instead of Shahdara, which was previously held by AAP MLA and Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal. Sunder Pal Singh has been replaced by Dilip Pandey in the party’s lineup.

The AAP had previously released a list of 11 candidates in November. The party’s strategy now seems to focus on a mix of incumbents and new faces, aiming to capitalize on its recent political gains and consolidate its position ahead of the 2025 elections.
