**Hyderabad, December 8, 2024** – The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced significant traffic diversions and road closures in the city center on December 9th from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. These measures are in place for the unveiling of the Telangana Talli statue and accompanying carnival on NTR Marg, part of the ‘Praja Palana–Praja Vijayotsavalu’ celebrations at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat.
Several key junctions, including Buddha Bhavan, Nallagutta X Roads, V.V. Statue (Khairatabad), Iqbal Minar, and more, will experience heavy congestion due to the diversions. Specific routes will be redirected to alleviate pressure on NTR Marg and Necklace Road. The police have detailed alternative routes for motorists approaching these affected areas from various directions.
To accommodate the expected crowds, public parking facilities have been arranged at multiple locations across the city, including L.B. Stadium, Adarsh Nagar Lane, and others.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police urge citizens to plan their routes accordingly and avoid the affected areas between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. on December 9th. For real-time updates and traffic conditions, residents are encouraged to follow the Hyderabad Traffic Police on Facebook and Twitter (@HYDP). A dedicated helpline, 9010203626, is also available for travel-related emergencies.
