**Jaipur, India –** Rajasthan is poised for a major economic boost with the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, scheduled for December 9-11 in Jaipur. The summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to attract investments exceeding ₹25 lakh crore (approximately $300 billion USD).
The three-day event will see participation from leading industrialists, including Gautam Adani and Anand Mahindra, who will meet with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to discuss investment opportunities. International presence is significant, with confirmed participation from Switzerland, Malaysia, Spain, Brazil, Venezuela, and thirteen ambassadors posted in India. Over 185 state guests will be accommodated.
The summit will feature twelve sessions highlighting Rajasthan’s potential across various sectors, including MSMEs, exports, energy, minerals, and tourism. To attract investors, Chief Minister Sharma has unveiled nine new policies designed to double the state’s economy. These policies specifically target growth in key sectors.
While the summit boasts impressive investment proposals, past investment summits in Rajasthan have faced challenges in translating Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) into actual projects. The success of the Rising Rajasthan Summit will hinge on the Sharma government’s ability to ensure the implementation of these ambitious investment plans. Over 4,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure security throughout the event.
