**Ahmedabad, Patna, India – December 7, 2024** – Two separate incidents involving violent altercations between customers and bank employees have sparked outrage and prompted police investigations. In Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a video went viral showing a physical altercation between a customer, Jaiman Rawal, and a Union Bank manager. The dispute, reportedly stemming from Rawal’s dissatisfaction with increased tax deductions on a fixed deposit, escalated into a brawl captured on a 43-second video. The footage shows the two men grappling, Rawal slapping the manager, and subsequently assaulting another bank employee after being separated by colleagues and an elderly woman accompanying him. Vastrapur police have registered a case and are investigating.

A second incident occurred at a Canara Bank branch in Patna, Bihar. A video shows a male customer aggressively confronting and threatening a female bank manager over a CIBIL score issue. The customer verbally abused the manager, snatched her phone, and threw it on the floor before returning it and issuing further threats. Police are also investigating this incident.

Both incidents highlight growing concerns over the safety and security of bank employees. The Ahmedabad incident prompted one social media user to sarcastically suggest bank staff receive self-defense training. These events underscore the need for increased measures to protect bank personnel from aggressive customers.
