**Hyderabad, December 8, 2024** – Thousands of Hyderabad residents witnessed a spectacular aerial display by the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran aerobatic team on Sunday. The breathtaking 40-minute show, featuring nine Hawk MK 132 aircraft performing intricate maneuvers, was a highlight of the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu celebrations marking one year of Congress governance in Telangana.

Despite initially cloudy weather, the skies cleared to reveal a vibrant display of aerial artistry as the planes painted the sky with the colours of the Indian national flag. The event, held above Hussainsagar lake, drew large crowds who arrived early to secure good viewing spots, leading to traffic restrictions in the area. The show commenced after the arrival of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Spectators expressed immense enthusiasm, with many highlighting the rarity of such events in Hyderabad. Mohd Ashraf, a local resident, stated that his son, a fighter plane enthusiast, was particularly excited. Ramesh Kumar, a migrant worker from Bihar, described the experience as unforgettable, hoping for more such events across the country. Organizers provided water to the large gathering to combat the heat.

The Surya Kiran team, comprising 12 pilots led by Group Captain Ajay Dasarathi, showcased extremely close-proximity flying, with aircraft separated by only 5 meters. The team’s technical expertise and support staff were also acknowledged. The Chief Minister and other dignitaries were among those captivated by the display, leaving behind a memory of a vibrant, tricolour-streaked sky.
