Sat Dec 07 11:41:12 UTC 2024: ## Khan Sir’s Arrest Rumours Debunked Amidst BPSC Exam Protests in Bihar

**Patna, Bihar:** Tensions remain high in Patna following protests by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants over the alleged normalization process in the upcoming 70th preliminary examination. While police used mild force to disperse hundreds of protestors near the BPSC office on Wednesday, rumours circulated on social media claiming the arrest of renowned educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, also known as Khan Sir. However, Patna Police have categorically denied these claims.

Sub-divisional police officer Dr. Anu Kumari stated that reports of Khan Sir’s detention were “baseless, misleading, and provocative.” She clarified that Khan Sir visited the Gardanibagh police station voluntarily and was later driven to his vehicle at his request.

The protests stem from aspirants’ concerns about the exam’s normalization process, which they fear will disadvantage them. While the BPSC has vehemently denied implementing any normalization process and confirmed a single-shift exam on December 13th, protesters remain unconvinced and demand the exam’s postponement and acceptance of applications rejected due to server issues.

Khan Sir, who participated in the protests, criticized the BPSC’s communication and advocated for the students’ rights, stating, “We will not move from here until normalization is removed.” He also called for an extension of the exam date. His associate later confirmed that Khan Sir has been admitted to Prabhat Memorial Hospital in Patna due to illness. Other prominent educators, such as Guru Rahman, also joined the demonstrations.

The BPSC’s clarification reiterates that the exam will be held in a single shift, eliminating the need for normalization. However, the protests and the subsequent police action continue to fuel public outrage and calls for greater transparency from the BPSC and the Bihar government.
