**MILAN** – AC Milan demolished Serie B side Sassuolo 6-1 at the San Siro on Tuesday, securing their place in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals. A dominant first half saw Samuel Chukwueze bag a brace, while Tijjani Reijnders and Rafael Leao also found the back of the net, giving Milan a commanding 4-0 lead by the 23rd minute.
Although the pace slowed after halftime, Milan continued to press, with Davide Calabria adding a fifth goal 11 minutes into the second half. Sassuolo managed a consolation goal through Samuele Mulattieri three minutes later, but Tammy Abraham sealed the victory for Milan with a sixth goal in the 61st minute.
Milan will now face the winner of the upcoming last-16 tie between AS Roma and Sampdoria.
