**Alappuzha, Kerala – December 7, 2024** – Pallathuruthy Boat Club (PBC) reclaimed its dominance in the Champions Boat League (CBL-4) on Saturday, winning a nail-biting final race in Alappuzha. Their snakeboat, Karichal Chundan, secured victory with a time of 3:51:11 minutes, narrowly beating Veeyapuram Chundan (3:52:01 minutes) and Niranam Chundan (3:52:65 minutes).

The race, held on the Karuvatta channel, saw nine teams compete in heats, with the top three advancing to the final. Karichal Chundan and Veeyapuram Chundan engaged in a fierce battle throughout the race, with Veeyapuram making a strong late push but ultimately falling short. This win reverses the result of the previous week’s race where Veeyapuram Chundan triumphed.

The victory propels PBC to the top of the CBL-4 points table, followed by VBC and United Boat Club Kainakary. The league continues with the fifth race in Kayamkulam on December 14th, and the final race in Kollam on December 21st. Chief Whip N. Jayaraj inaugurated the Karuvatta race.
